Peebles registry office and staff were exceptional down to the most minute details. The staff were incredibly helpful and even showed us digital copies of our parents' birth certificates to check spellings.

Cringletie House was the venue for the meal.

Peebles Hydro for the evening reception was an excellent venue for the large number of guests. The ballroom is spectacular. If you're confident that there are huge crowds joining you, then you won't find much better. Massive buffet for the price kept everybody and their grannys going into the wee small hours. Recommend booking the buffet for about 30% fewer guests than are coming, but beware - they may accidentally provide for numbers based on your guest numbers.
