Review

From the first day that we visited Craigsanquhar we were made welcome. Lynsey, the wedding co-ordinator at Craigsanquhar, showed us all the rooms, gave us lots of ideas and took lots of time to talk to us. We fell in love with Craigsanquhar on the first visit and loved the idea of holding the ceremony on the sweeping staircase. Once we booked our date, any random and annoying question that I asked was patiently answered and Lynsey was always on hand to help. Even when we booked our menu tasting she made sure that she was at the venue to check that we had enjoyed our meal. The chef at the hotel is amazing and the choice of menus is wide and varied, if I could I would have choosen at least 5 of the desserts that they offer.

In the running up to the big day, the hotel was always open for us to visit, even with our string quartet in tow! All of the staff were always on hand to help and in the days before we had access to the reception room (a separate building that is perfectly suited for receptions with a large dance floor and its own bar and lounge).

On the day, Lynsey was brilliant in helping us with any last minute details and kept me up to date with what was going. Even when we ended up running 30 minutes late, the venue staff didn't rush us around and let us have the allocated time that we had planned for photos etc.

It was an unforgettable day, the venue is the perfect location for a wedding, not to mention the amazing photos that you can get outside the building!

I would whole heartedly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a venue. All of the staff, especially Lynsey, will do everything to help you and make your day go smoothly.
