Fantastic day, Closeburn church is the most beautiful setting for a wedding and fantastic for photos !!
Reception at Friars carse was wonderful, most people booked in for 2 days, and as it was a small wedding it felt like a intimate party, so I had no nerves what so ever. And being piped into the hotel andmeal was just amazing!!!
Food was fantastic with scottish themed haggis in wiskey sauce, and cranachan.
But the band really made the wedding, "Rock & Reel " from dumfriesshire, mix of Ceilidh and traditional wedding band, as the wedding was english & scottish, there everyone had a partner for the reels, and everyone had a fantastic time. First song was " If tomorrow never comes " and the singer of Rock & Reel sang it better than Ronan Keating !
Oh and the emerald green velvet cloak I wore, designed and made by Connie Fairburn of Edinburgh, made me feel just like a princess !
Just a fantastic day in every way, beautiful church, fantastic historical venue and a day to remember for ever, and at the end of the day I got the best prize of all , my husband !!!
